IP café: Patents for software?
What to expect?
A small and friendly breakfast session on patenting software and computer-implemented inventions, combining the benefits of a short and focused presentation, informal discussion, and networking with colleagues active in your sector.
Today’s highly connected environment has resulted in a growth of innovation in computer programs, apps for tablets, smartphones, and user interfaces; yet computer implemented inventions remain one of the more challenging patenting fields at the European Patent Office. As IP professionals rise to meet the challenges of stricter examination and European patenting exclusions, this IP Cafe offers practical tips and advice. What are the software exclusions? How can they be overcome? With plentiful examples and illustrations, anyone with an interest in computer implemented inventions should attend.
